Impact at scale: What Brazil is building with Harvard

Future in Focus

26 May 2026

Today, we hosted a special gathering at our São Paulo office with Jair Ribeiro, founder and president of Parceiros da Educação, for an inspiring conversation about education, evidence-based approaches, and impact at scale, through an initiative developed in partnership with Harvard.

The event highlighted the trajectory and work of Parceiros da Educação, an organization that for more than 20 years has been advancing excellence in public education in the state of São Paulo through partnerships between civil society, schools, education networks, and public institutions.

The discussion emphasized the importance of structured, data- and evidence-driven initiatives capable of generating sustainable impact on student learning and strengthening public education policies. Through a systemic and long-term approach, the organization develops projects focused on the integral and equitable development of students, bringing together different stakeholders around a shared goal: transforming São Paulo’s public education system into the best in Latin America by 2040.

The organization also shared the impact achieved throughout its journey, reaching more than 400,000 students, 18,000 teachers, and 700 schools, reinforcing the transformative potential of partnerships committed to scale, excellence, and equity.

We thank Jair for the inspiring conversation and valuable exchange of experiences, which further reinforces our commitment to supporting initiatives focused on human development, education, and long-term social impact.
